Facilities Director
The Union County Commissioners are currently accepting applications or resumes for the Facilities Director position. The Facilities Director must demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to supervise, mentor, and direct a team of maintenance staff in daily operations, performance and long-term planning. This position is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating facility's management, vendor relationships, and the oversight of capital projects. A critical component of this role is effective management of building systems, with a strong emphasis on HVAC operations, preventive maintenance strategies, and negotiating service and maintenance agreements with external vendors.
Salary Range: $60,000 - $72,000 (Based on Experience)
Minimum Qualification
- Vocational or technical training in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or other building trade fields; supplemented by five (5) years of progressively responsible supervisory experience in building or facilities maintenance or a related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC system functionality, troubleshooting, energy efficiency practices, and long-term equipment lifecycle planning.
- Experience negotiating, managing, and evaluating vendor maintenance contracts, including performance oversight and budget monitoring.
- Proven leadership ability, including experience supervising maintenance personnel, setting performance expectations, coordinating work assignments, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
