Consulting Services

Consulting services are provided by risk control staff to assist members with the development of their risk management and loss control programs. Services may include: providing “model” safety programs, assisting with the development of return-to-work programs, offering innovative, evidence-based wellness program ideas to members, participating in safety committee meetings, evaluations utilizing slip, sound and light meters, identifying hazards, providing training and consulting with our member’s staff regarding specific safety and loss control issues. The department can also provide specific on-site trainings and building assessments, as requested.

Risk Management Training Opportunities

CCAP Insurance Programs strives to offer valuable trainings in the areas of loss control and risk management for officials and employees of Pennsylvania's counties and county-related entities. Training opportunities are offered throughout the state, which are free to PComp, PCoRP and PELICAN members, and open to nonmembers for a fee. The trainings include personal and professional development courses, as well as risk management topics for elected officials and all county and county related entity employees. Learn more about Risk Management Trainings.

Unable to attend in person training? CCAP Insurance Programs also offers online training through LocalGovU.

Wellness Nurse

CCAP Insurance Programs has a Registered Nurse (RN) on staff for PComp members. Our RN is here to assist with trainings and education, management of outside nurse case managers, construction of provider panel lists and return-to-work programs, conducting medical reviews, participating in claims reviews and promoting wellness. We invite you to join in this effort by using these resources for awareness and training activities. For more information, or to speak with our RN directly, contact Jean Henry at jhenry@pacounties.org.
