FREE to members of PCoRP, PComp, UC Trust and current Academy participants. Nonmember $60 per attendee or $40 each for group of three or more.
This fall workshop focuses on ways to help counties mitigate risk and manage incidents effectively. The topics selected represent our workers’ compensation (PComp) and property liability (PCoRP) insurance programs. This session is ideal for HR professionals, risk managers and anyone involved in business compliance or risk management.
Safety at Polling Places & Workers' Compensation Claims
The session focused on two primary topics: ensuring safety at polling places and addressing workers' compensation claims.
This session will emphasize the importance of maintaining secure and accessible voting environments for both voters and staff. Key points include implementing crowd control measures, improving signage and lighting, and preparing for emergency situations such as medical incidents or potential threats. The session will review recent trends and challenges in workers' compensation claims associated with polling places and the most common causes of those incidents.
