Lead with Purpose: Elevating Performance Through Clarity, Coaching & Accountability

Discipline is easier when you don’t start there. This 4-hour workshop equips supervisors with the essential practices that make performance management smoother, more effective, and far less reactive. Instead of focusing solely on progressive discipline, we’ll focus on building the habits that help supervisors prevent problems before they escalate.

We’ll start with what matters most: setting clear expectations, using emotional intelligence to lead with composure and awareness, and knowing when to coach, manage, or supervise. From there, we’ll dive into how to give meaningful feedback, document performance with purpose, and conduct regular check-ins that support both accountability and growth.

Participants will learn how to:
  • Set and communicate clear expectations that anchor accountability
  • Lead with emotional intelligence to build trust and navigate tension
  • Know when to coach, supervise, or manage - and how to do each well
  • Deliver feedback that promotes clarity and change
  • Document performance in ways that support growth and protect the team
  • Implement consistent check-ins to support ongoing development

This training provides supervisors with the mindset and methods to lead performance and not just react to problems. By investing in the right practices upfront, difficult conversations become easier, and progressive discipline becomes the exception and not the starting point.
