Reports to: Administrative Supervisor & First Assistant District Attorney
Supervises: N/A
Job Summary:
Promote the daily functions of the District Attorney’s mission to ensure that justice is done in a fair, effective, and efficient manner.
Essential Job Functions:
- Interfaces with the public to include, but not limited to, crime victims, witnesses, law enforcement officers, defendants, defense attorneys, court personnel, and other administrative and professional staff throughout the County.
- Collects, processes, and maintains all criminal cases in preparation for the successful prosecution of criminal defendants. This includes, creating the DA files and criminal information, gathering and copying discovery, compiling criminal histories, preparing sentencing guidelines, issuing subpoenas, and coordinating witnesses for trial. Requires JNET certification.
- Manages and dockets all court dispositions into a management system.
- General office duties.
- Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements to Perform the Work:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Work Experience:
- 2 years of experience working in an office setting.
- Experience working with Windows and Microsoft Office
