Position Overview:
To assist the Chief Financial Officer in the financial operation of Centre County Government. Perform a variety of fiscal, financial, accounting, and/or budgetary duties at the direction of the department head. Responsible for maintaining accurate files and records in compliance with federal, state and county policies, procedures and requirements.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or public administration or an associate degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related fields
Work Experience:
Minimum five (5) years working experience performing accounting or bookkeeping duties. Computer experience with accounting software required.

Essential Job Functions:
- Compiles data for budget preparation.
- Participates in procurement and RFP processes.
- Interacts with County departments and offices in regard to financial administration duties of department.
- Compiles and reviews budget data.
- Prepares reports as requested by Chief Financial Officer.
- Manages inventory and supply control for County.
- Monitors federal and state grant funding and allocations for County.
- Prepares check request, purchase requisitions, budget revisions, and other financial documents as needed.
- Prepares correspondence and financial documents as requested by director.
- Provides staff support for Finance Committee meetings.
Other Duties:
- Assists County departments working with the County’s accounting system.
- Assists with general administrative duties for department.
- Assists internal and external auditors as needed.
- Attends meetings, in-services, and trainings as required.
- Performs other job duties as required.
