John Buffone has been with CCAP since 2021 and currently serves as the Director of Communications and External Relations, overseeing both the communications and government relations teams.
He spent more than a decade as a radio, newspaper and television reporter across Pennsylvania, before joining the United States Census Bureau as a Media Specialist in 2020 during the Decennial Census.
John came to CCAP as the Director of Media and Public Relations before being named Interim Executive Director in 2025, where he led the association in representing all 67 counties in Pennsylvania. In his current role, John leads communications and government relations efforts, ensuring consistent engagement with policymakers, media and the public statewide.
