Managing Up is the practice of building productive relationships with supervisors through effective communication, proactive problem-solving, and collaboration. Rather than "managing your boss," it's about becoming a trusted partner who contributes to a positive, efficient workplace.

County government employees often navigate shifting priorities, limited resources, and complex organizational structures. This interactive workshop provides practical strategies to strengthen communication, build trust, manage competing priorities, and influence without authority.

Participants will leave with tools they can immediately apply to improve relationships with supervisors and colleagues while supporting a collaborative workplace and delivering exceptional public service.

Presenter: Krystal Campbell, Public Contracts Manager, M&S EAP Services, Inc.

This training fulfills the Today’s Trends in County Government required course for participants in the Academy for Excellence in County Government.
