To act as legal adviser to the Tax Claim Bureau.

B. WORK EXPERIENCE:
1 year of previous experience practicing law with an experienced municipal law attorney required. 2-5 years of practice of municipal tax law and trial experience; exposure to basic bankruptcy law preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
To act as legal adviser to the Tax Claim Bureau.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF JOB:
- Provides legal advice and support to Tax Claim Bureau.
- Prepares and reviews legal documents.
- Meets frequently with the Director of the Tax Claim Bureau regarding current issues and case management.
- Conducts legal research
- Participates in litigation as necessary.
- Responds to inquiries and provides legal assistance and support on Tax Claim issues.
- Communicates with other government offices, the general public and the press on behalf of the County Tax Claim Bureau.
OTHER DUTIES OF JOB:
- Attends meetings, training and seminars as required.
- Performs other job duties as required.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Works indoors in adequate office space, with adequate lighting, temperature and ventilation.
- Normal exposure to noise and stress and other disruptions.
- Normal indoor exposure to dust/dirt.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL CONDITIONS:
- Must possess the ability to present, convey and record information, explain procedures and follow instructions.
- Must possess the ability to satisfactorily interact with the public.
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time throughout the work day, with intermittent periods of walking and standing.
- Occasional periods of stooping, bending, twisting and reaching as necessary to carry out job functions.
- Dexterity requirements range from fine manipulation of fingers/hands to simple movements of feet/legs/torso as necessary to carry out essential job duties.
- Sedentary work, with occasional lifting/carrying of objects with a maximum weight of up to 10 pounds.

- Must possess the technical knowledge of operating personal computers with accuracy and reasonable speed for on-line legal research and for preparation of legal documents and email communications.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must possess basic knowledge of legal terminology and bankruptcy proceedings.
- Must possess knowledge of accepted office practices and procedures.
