Conservation District Manager

The Monroe County Conservation District is currently accepting applications for the full-time position of Conservation District Manager. This position is responsible for overseeing the overall administration, planning, and operations of the Conservation District, including environmental programs, technical services, staff supervision, and fiscal management.

The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of District programs and initiatives, oversee budgets and grant funding, coordinate with the District Board of Directors, and work alongside local, state, and federal agencies to support natural resource conservation throughout Monroe County. Additional responsibilities include overseeing environmental education programs, providing technical guidance on conservation matters, and ensuring compliance with applicable environmental regulations.

Minimum qualifications for the position are as follows:

• Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Resource Planning, Geology, Soil Science, Hydrology, Public Administration, or a closely related field

• Must possess five (5) years of previous experience and/or training in areas such as environmental regulatory enforcement, construction, public service, or administration; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job

• Must possess and maintain a valid Pennsylvania driver's license
