Late Wednesday, the House passed HB 611, which contained the FY 2023-2024 state budget with a promise from the Governor to eliminate school-choice funding
On Wednesday, the House concurred on Senate amendments to HB 611 with a $45.5 billion budget plan for FY 2023-2024 on a vote of 117-86. The vote comes after a statement from the Governor pledging to line item veto funding for PASS scholarships as it was deemed an issue holding up further budget negotiations. Once signed by the Senate, the bill will move to the Governor's desk for his signature. CCAP will be providing additional details and analysis here on the Budget News and Updates page as they become available.
