Explore these special opportunities available to registered Conference attendees.

Sunday, August 7

Mazzitti & Sullivan EAP Services, Inc.CGL Companies and Scott + Scott Attorneys at Law, LLP invite you to enjoy a round of golf on Sunday, August 7 as part of the CCAP Annual Conference. The Colonial Golf and Tennis Club is located at 4901 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17112 - about a 42 mile (approximately one hour drive) from the Lancaster Marriott. It is a well-known and enjoyable course. This will not be a tournament and there are limited tee times for Sunday afternoon. County elected officials and staff will get first priority for tee times. As space permits, times will be opened to vendor participants. Response is required by July 1 to lock in a tee time; tee times are available between 1 and 2:30 p.m. A putting contest will be held compliments of CGL Companies.

  • Walking Tour of Historic Downtown Lancaster
    1:30 – 3:30 p.m.

Starting and ending at the Lancaster Marriott, guides from Historic Lancaster Walking Tour will take the group through Downtown Lancaster and share the over 300 years of history that makes Lancaster County such a unique and special place. The city is home to beautiful architecture, historic stops on the Underground Railroad, sites made famous during the several wars our country has seen, and homes of famous figures in history. Wear your comfortable walking shoes and dress appropriately for the weather! 

The tour is $30 per person and includes the trained guides, admission to any sites, and beverages and snacks for the afternoon. Please be sure to indicate how many tickets you’d like for the tour when you register online for the Conference. Pleaser register for the tour by July 29; additional tour spots may not be available after that date.

Emerald Advisers, LLC, Maher Duessel CPAs, Federated Hermes, Inc. and Marquette Associates, Inc. invite you to enjoy a group tour and BBQ picnic held on the grounds of the Mount Hope Winery & Estate on Sunday, August 7 as part of the CCAP Annual Conference. Bus transportation will be provided departing from the Lancaster Marriott at 1:30 p.m. and returning guests at 5:30 p.m. While at Mount Hope Winery & Estate, attendees will enjoy a tour of the production facility, live acoustic music, outdoor seating and lawn games, and a BBQ picnic in the courtyard. 

Spaces are very limited and registration closes on Wednesday, July 6. Please RSVP to Hannah Arnold indicating the attendee name and number of guests.

Monday, August 8

  • Exhibit Hall
    7:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.

The Exhibit Hall will be open on Monday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. This is one of the many chances to meet and get to know over 70 vendors interested in doing business with your county. There will also be multiple chances to win prizes throughout the day from both CCAP and exhibitors. Exhibitors may conduct individual prize drawings within the confines of their booth and CCAP will announce winners beginning at 3:15 p.m. from the Exhibit Hall stage. Exhibitors will determine winning criteria for their prize drawings. CCAP is pleased to announce this year’s Exhibit Hall grand prize is an Apple iPad. Check your registration materials for details on how you can participate and be eligible to win! Vendors interested in purchasing exhibit space should visit the Exhibitor Registration page.

All registered Conference attendees are invited to enjoy a casual evening of fun, live music and good food on Monday evening at the beautiful and historic Fulton Theatre, a short walk from the Lancaster Marriott. This lovely evening, compliment of CS McKee, will start with cocktails at 6 p.m. and then local cuisine and desserts at 6:30 p.m. You don’t want to miss this one-of-a-kind event! Dress is summer casual. RSVPs are not required.

Tuesday, August 9

  • Tuesday’s Annual Business Meeting
    8:30 - 11:30 a.m.

An important part of the Annual Conference is Tuesday’s Annual Business session where members consider the 2022 resolutions, the treasurer’s report, committee reports and the election of CCAP officers. 

  • Dinner and Awards Ceremony
    6:30 - 8:30 p.m.

At each Annual Conference, the association is proud to honor county members and others who support county government with our Annual Awards program. All registered Conference attendees are invited to this Tuesday evening event. This more formal event (business attire suggested) offers the opportunity for CCAP members and vendors to come together to recognize our award recipients! 

The evening’s program will include the recognition of CCAP President, Daryl Miller, Bradford County commissioner, as well as the presentation of the 2022 CCAP Awards: Outstanding Commissioner/Council Member; Chief Clerk/Administrator; Solicitor; Friend of County Government; Affiliate of the Year; the brand new Technology and Innovation Award; and, President’s Awards.

County Gift Table

At the CCAP Annual Conference all registered CCAP members and registered guests have the opportunity to participate in several prize drawings at designated times identified in the Conference agenda. The drawing prizes are items donated by the counties attending the Conference. The donated gifts are usually from industries and attractions unique to each county and should be small gifts that can be hand-carried by attendees. Examples of gifts include gift certificates, museum, sporting event or attraction tickets, and other small easily-carried items. The prize drawings are a lot of fun for attendees and a nice way to share a little bit about your county with other Conference attendees.

Poster and Networking Session

After success at the Spring Conference, CCAP will again offer a poster and networking session at the Annual Conference, running concurrently with our conference lunch on Tuesday, August 9 (11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.).

The focus is on county jails and showcasing best practices and successes to meet ongoing challenges.

Breakout and roundtable sessions on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are the main education components of the Conference. These sessions are designed to offer the most up-to-date, pertinent information available to CCAP members. Conference topics include workforce issues, technology, behavioral health, criminal justice issues and many others. 

An updated list of topics for all educational breakout sessions and roundtables will be sent to all registered Conference attendees and posted to the Conference agenda online as sessions and speakers are confirmed.

CCAP Academy for Excellence in County Government Elective Credit

All breakout sessions are available as electives for the CCAP Academy for Excellence in County Government. 

Participants in CCAP's Academy for Excellence in County Government are eligible to receive elective credits for attending one breakout during each educational time slot. Participants must submit a Verification of Attendance Form which will be included in the Conference registration packets, indicating each session attended. Forms must be submitted after the Conference to Mandi Glantz to get transcript credit.
