Keynote Speaker - Tom Patterson, Unisys

The White House’s National Cybersecurity Moonshot - Impacts and Opportunities for the Commonwealth

The White House debuted the National Cybersecurity Moonshot in 2019 which outlines a path toward a safe and secure Internet for critical infrastructure by 2028. The Moonshot focuses on leveraging evolutionary changes coming in key technology sectors, as well as opportunities for coordinated improvements in five parallel pillars.  This presentation by Tom Patterson, one of the principal authors of the report, will overview the national changes coming, while highlighting the impacts and opportunities for the Commonwealth. This session will make clear the necessary changes now, so that everyone can benefit from a more trusted and secure future.

Tom Patterson is the Chief Trust Officer for Unisys. An actionable security expert with three decades of experience across all facets of security, Tom is a corporate executive, international thought leader, published author and keynote speaker providing compelling insight into cybersecurity issues of the day, with an optimistic view into a more secure tomorrow. At Unisys, Tom is focused on extending trust and security to hundreds of global stakeholders including governments and critical infrastructure companies that rely on Unisys to protect national borders, transact trillions of dollars, deliver energy to millions, secure global air transit, provide healthcare to entire populations, and architect a safer tomorrow.
