In this session, participants will recognize the importance of addressing workplace performance issues including inappropriate behaviors, marginal performance and poor work habits. Supervisors and managers that address these issues in a timely manner will influence a better work environment by holding employees equally accountable, resulting in higher levels of trust and employee morale. The session will also include best practices and activities for counseling and disciplining employees who choose not to improve upon workplace performance expectations. Finally, participants will practice establishing performance expectations, providing performance feedback through coaching, and completing more objective and higher quality performance reviews intended to improve individual, team and county performance.
