This is a competitive solicitation. Late submissions and materials not received in Egrants will not be considered.
Agencies eligible for participation:
County Commissioners are the eligible applicants under this funding announcement. Counties are encouraged to coordinate efforts and have prosecutors and defenders submit one application per county.

Jail Transition Grants Available
The National Institute of Corrections and the Urban Institute are soliciting applications to select four new “Transition from Jail to Community (TJC) Initiative” sites. The TJC Initiative is a model approach for jails and local communities to collaboratively address the reentry challenges faced by individuals returning from jail. Beginning in September, four jurisdictions will receive TJC technical assistance over two years. Applications for prospective sites will be available May 1, and must be submitted by June 15. The application can be accessed here www.jailtransition.com. A webinar for prospective applicants will be held on May 14, at 1 p.m. EDT.
