Preliminary County Budget Information Available

Rendell announced a budget agreement between legislative leaders of the four caucuses and himself at a press conference on June 29. The deal presumes $850 million from FMAP extension, and comes with a commitment to enact a severance tax on natural gas by October 1. A spreadsheet is now available on the commonwealth budget page with our preliminary analysis of funding levels for county line items in the budget. There are a few areas for which information is not yet available, and over the next couple of weeks CCAP will continue to provide additional information to counties. Additional analysis will be published in the Legislative Bulletin.
