The Bucks County Area Agency on Aging (AAA) is a department of the Bucks County government whose mission is to provide comprehensive services to help persons over the age of 60 maintain their independence in their homes and communities. The Deputy Director is responsible for the administrative/fiscal unit of the Area Agency on Aging, including financial management, planning, information technology, building operations, RSVP volunteer program, and legal services. The person in this position is a member of the leadership team for the AAA who will help review current operations and will recommend and help implement new approaches resulting from changes in policy, operations and technology.
Qualification Requirements: Knowledge of basic principles and objectives of social service programs, principles of public administration, fiscal and programmatic principles and practices. Ability to plan, organize and direct the work of others, gather and analyze information and apply sound judgment in arriving at appropriate conclusions. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, public officials, administrators and the general public. Ability to express ideas orally and in writing.
Five years’ professional experience in human services program either in an administrative capacity or in providing social services to clients, including one year of supervisory experience, Masters degree preferred.
