CCAP's Insurance Programs offer a wide variety of training opportunities:

  • Glimpse Workshops. The Glimpse is your Risk Management Training Catalog. CCAP's Insurance Programs offers a full schedule of training opportunities statewide. Workshops are available during the spring and fall of each year. Topics vary from defensive driving, workers’ compensation, human resources, communication, safety, KEYS (keep educating your staff) and much more. The workshops are offered at little or no cost to your county. As a reminder, if your county is a member of the sponsoring Insurance Programs workshops are FREE to attend. Learn more.

 

  • Online Safety Training provided by LocalGovU. CCAP’s insurance programs has partnered with LocalGovU, to offer quality employee training online on a variety of topics including risk management, corrections, health and wellness, human resources, law enforcement, safety and management. These online training courses are available on demand all year long 24/7 from any computer with Internet access. A certificate can be printed once the quiz at the end of the course has been passed. LocalGovU provides tracking and reporting capabilities that may help reduce liability in cases where proof of training can be documented. Learn more.

 

  • CCAP Conferences. Major CCAP Conference events include the Spring Conference, Solicitors' Conference, GIS Conference, County Administration Conference, Annual Conference and Trade Show, and Fall Conference. Learn more.​

 

  • Unemployment Compensation Training provided by Equifax. As a benefit of your county’s membership in the UC Trust you are afforded training by Equifax. This training is designed to help you understand topics of discipline, discharge, proper documentation and hearing preparation, which is imperative to reducing claims costs. Learn more.

 

  • Academy for Excellence. The Academy for Excellence in County Government is a certificate training program for county commissioners, council members, county executives, administrators and assistant administrators, chief clerks and assistant chief clerks, solicitors and assistant solicitors, and their equivalents in home rule counties.
